Edging to Eide

With the weather improved and looking more settled we headed off for a sail today. We decided to round the north of Averøya and go once again through the Storeisundet bridge on the Atlantic Ocean Road. This time though we approached it from the east. We managed to sail on and off, but the breeze was variable. Once through the bridge though, the breeze switched back on again and we had a good sail down the fjord to Eide.

Eide is a small private harbour but has a few guest spaces and we moored on the hammerhead of one of the pontoons. It was also the local meeting place for everyone to go swimming with a large pontoon and diving board off it, so … we did. Actually it wasn’t as cold as we expected, but nice warm sunny weather probably helped.
