Lunging across to Lyr

With a breezy day forecast we decided to have a relaxing day in Åstol and so didn’t head off again until this morning and then just a short run north. We want to stay fairly close around Tjörn as Alex and friends are heading out to Skärhamn in a couple of days, so we will head there tomorrow ready. So today, we headed up to an anchorage on the east side of Lyr. We ended up motoring all the way with the wind on the nose, but it was a pleasant run.

Leaving Åstol

On Lyr we picked up a Swedish Cruising Association buoy and had a very nice walk ashore, heading across to the west side of the island to the restaurant there, which wasn’t open! Nevertheless, a lovely walk and a quiet peaceful holiday island, which given that holidays haven’t really started yet means that there are few people in evidence.

Hekla joined us later in the afternoon, so we joined them for drinks in the evening.
